Accommodation

There are a variety of places to stay in the area. We would obviously recommend Fawlsey Hall itself, but capacity is limited so you will need to be quick.

We have produced a map showing the postcode and location of a number of hotels in the area. They are listed here together with their websites, phone numbers and room rates. Below this is a list of taxis for those not staying at Fawsley Hall or Staverton Park.

Fawsley Hall - 01327 892000 - We have a limited number of reduced rate rooms £139-£189
Staverton Park - 0870 609 1156 - We have reserved 15 rooms here at £95 and will arrange a minibus to transport people to Staverton from Fawsley at around midnight on the night of the wedding. If booking here, please say you are booking as part of “the Boswell family allocation” (i.e. avoid using the word “wedding”). UPDATE 12/03/07: Please see the comment below for a cheaper method of booking at Staverton Park (and possibly other hotels)
Hellidon Lakes Hotel - 01327 262550 - Rooms from £118
Daventry Hotel - 0870 168 8833 - Rooms from £45 - OK, not great
Wormleighton Hall - 01295 770234 - Rooms from £35 single / £60 double/twin - good “country” hotel
The Windmill Inn - 01327 702363 - Rooms from £62.50 single / £72.60 double/twin
The Globe Hotel - 01327 340336 - Rooms from £45 single / £55 double/twin
Colledges House - 01327 702737 - Rooms from £45pp

A very astute friend of ours, Martin “sMart” Brannagan, has discovered that rooms at Staverton Park can be booked from as little as £40 (single) or £60 (double/twin) using the www.laterooms.com website - http://www.laterooms.com/en/hotel-reservations/73100_staverton-park-hotel-daventry.aspx?n=1&d=20070527 … until this offer expires (which we suspect it might), we’d recommend booking via this route. Thanks sMart!

PS - If anyone else finds any other cheap methods to book hotels, please let everyone know by leaving a comment.

It appears the rate for Staverton Park rooms booked through laterooms.com has crept up to £50/£70.

I am just about to book a double room at Staverton, could you ask Debs if she minds me booking a ’smoking’ one?

What do the Bridesmaids look like? Worth booking a double at all?
