“Chooooons!”

We need your input. Get your thinking caps on and let us know what music you’d like to hear in the evening. Cheese will be banned (ok, ok, we might allow some cheese…) so please be original and think of some quality floor-fillers you’ll want to get on down to.

I am shocked and appalled that there will be no ‘chheesseeyy’ choons at the wedding. I am seriously considering not coming now! I only like cheesy music. Did Rob put this bit on the website?

I realise that Rob Zombie is a bit of a cliche for any wedding, but I still think he is worth a spin round the turntable.

    Thx
    Doug (damn)

“Farewell to Nova Scotia” is a firm favourite, can you make sure ‘Mr Toons’ has a copy???

I am quite happy to start the refrain if folks are slow warming up.

A decent shanty always gets everyone in the mood, I find. I doubt you could go far wrong.

In honour of our latest girlie ski holiday some cheese has to be allowed. I like to call the following a ‘Mooserwirt toon’!!!

    Its the final countdown………………………………………

I had some Bowie track as the opening song at my wedding. Bowie is still going strong, unlike the marriage. Odd how that happens.

I would love to hear ‘I am the one and only’ by Chesney (coz Nik Kershaw wrote it and I love him too).
OR Insomnia (that’s for a little later in the evening!!!)
    Can’t wait.

  14. Dougon 02 May 2007 at 3:00 pm

How about booking The Decoders to do a short session before they get too big?

  15. Lolly Simperon 02 May 2007 at 6:16 pm

I have been reliably informed that there is only one Mooserwirt toon requested so far. As such I feel the need to add the following requests…..

    DJ Otzi - Hey Baby
    Neil Diamond - Sweet Caroline
Opus - Life is Life (la, la, la, la, la,)
Robbie - Let Me Entertain You
Bryan Adams - Summer of 69
    etc etc

Oh and can we please have one of the most super cheesy songs of all time and a personal favourite of mine - I’m in the Moof for Dancing by the Nolan Sisters.

I am starting to think from the comments so far that cheesy toons are, infact, more popular than ‘normal’ ones so I think you should please your audience!!

  16. Robon 16 May 2007 at 9:33 pm

I’m frankly disappointed at the response to this page. In particular my (soon to be disowned) sister Lolly. You can play DJ Otzi at my funeral - but there’s no way it’s getting played at my wedding. (Mr DJ, please take note)

“Disco Queen” Sam is excused as she clearly has taste (apart from Chocolate Puma)…. But everyone else, COME ON! … where are the requests for Layo & Bushwacka, Jurgen Vries, Agnelli & Nelson, Da Hool, Oakenfold, BT, Grace… need I go on?!

Time is running out (in more ways than one).

(BTW, I’m amazed Andy hasn’t posted requesting Karen Ramirez / Looking For Love - your ‘puter broke mate?)

I’d like to point out at this juncture, that on your Debenhams gift list website, you are Miss Deborah Boswell and Miss Robert Upham. Anything you’d like to confess??

  18. Helon 18 May 2007 at 6:53 pm

Rob, how can you possibly request “no cheese” when you blatantly drove round Banbury in a Vauxhall Astra blasting out Will Smith’s Summertime from a stereo system that was way to much for the car? Granted that was 10 yrs ago but every wedding needs an element of cheese. YMCA, Bed of Roses, Saturday Night (I realise it’ll be Sunday), Come on Eileen!!!!!!!!!!!!! Need I go on?!!

  19. Robon 19 May 2007 at 2:00 pm

    Hel, three things:
    1) It was a Cavalier
    2) It’s Jazzy Jeff ‘n’ The Fresh Prince
    3) That’s a quality song, not cheese

    “Drrrrums Please!”

  20. Helon 21 May 2007 at 11:22 am

I rest my case. Cheese wins out!!

  21. John Isaacson 23 May 2007 at 10:35 am

The Blackbird Song, by the wurzels.

I defy anyone to get cheesier than that !

  22. Oakon 25 May 2007 at 6:43 pm

I am a tree, why ask me about music, trees have no concept of sound, unless they fall unheard. Oh…
